The best AI or data science course for you is the one that teaches the full skill set live, makes you build real projects, tests you on merit and is honest about outcomes. Compare courses on curriculum depth, live teaching, projects, mentors, assessment, total cost per live hour and the honesty of their claims, not on marketing slogans.
10 criteria to compare any AI course
| Criterion | What to look for |
|---|---|
| 1. Curriculum depth | A published, week-by-week syllabus from programming basics to deep learning and LLMs |
| 2. Live or recorded | How many hours are genuinely live, and when |
| 3. Projects | Real projects you build and deploy, not just quizzes |
| 4. Mentors | Working practitioners, not only full-time trainers |
| 5. Doubt support | A fixed, reliable time to get unstuck |
| 6. Assessment | Real tests, and certificates on merit rather than attendance |
| 7. Fundamentals | DSA, databases and maths, not only tools |
| 8. Duration and schedule | Realistic for a working person or student |
| 9. Total cost | Price compared against live hours and support |
| 10. Honest claims | No job guarantees or unverifiable placement numbers |
Red flags to watch for
- "100% job guarantee" or placement percentages with no way to verify them.
- A syllabus that lists tool names but no fundamentals.
- "Certification" worded to suggest government or university accreditation it doesn't have.
- No live contact with instructors, or live sessions that are really pre-recorded.
How Program Zero measures up
We'd rather you judge us by these criteria too. Program Zero publishes its full 78-week curriculum; runs live classes Monday to Friday, 9:00–10:30 PM IST, with a Sunday doubt session; ends every quarter with a project and a cumulative test; awards certificates on merit; and costs a single membership fee for all 18 months. We don't guarantee jobs or publish placement percentages. Read live vs recorded courses for more on why live teaching matters.
